Nujabes feat. Perseus Hades

So, while I was doing my daily routine on taking the train to work, I was listening to one of the instrumental tracks that Nujabes produced, "With Rainy Eyes", and I immediately felt like I belonged with the song and that I should really create lyrics to it, even if it's just a simple fan overlaying. I really wished I thought of this before his terrible accident (may he RIP) so that he may have heard it (and hence I unoficially would have worked with him!).

But a dream may it all be, this is what I created with reality!

Otakon 2010

Recently I had the opportunity  to take a vacation from work and attend an anime convention, and I took it! I was notified two months before the event, so I took my time to request off two months ahead of time! The whole experience in general felt like a success for my first ever anime convention. Even though I felt a little out of place in the sense that I know little next to nothing about the current anime (My mind is still stuck on the era of Moon princesses, dragon balls, Pokeballs, and digital monsters!), I felt like that if there was ever a time I could be like a total dork, this convention was that time for it!

So instead of me expanding on six whole paragraphs of my time there, I'll just list down all the highlights of my trip!

  • Attending the H.NAOTO fashion show, in which my friend Ivy happened to be one of the models. H.Naoto, is the guy behind many of the visual kei artists clothing (Gackt, Psycho le Cemu, Hangry & ANGRY to name a few).
  • Watching Yoshiki and Sugizo of  X JAPAN performing a mini-acoustic instrumental set.
  • Attending a HOME MADE 家族 (Kazoku) concert!

The only dissapointment I had was that I didn't really meet any new people. There was only basically the four of us that I already knew (Ivy, John, Lorenz. and me), but I did meet 3 people and I got to know one of them for a day! She was really cool! But anyway, I felt like it would've been fun if a whole lot of us had went together as a group!

Anwyay, other smaller highlights were:

  • Riding those dragon boats.
  • Going to the "Power Plant" Barnes & Nobles.
  • Eating really expensive sea food at multiply restaurants!
  • My alcoholic self drinking alcoholic drinks in every restaurant we went to! ^_^
  • Taking pictures of random cosplayers even though I didn't know what characters they were!
  • FAT Lulu's, Yuna's, Morrigan's, Sailor Scouts/Senshi's, Dante's... shall I go on?
  • Lorenz thinking he had a good fake British accent.

Oh yah, totally random, but I bought a sword!

Status on the Podcast

Apparently GCAST.COM is going through some issues because the site has this notice on their front page:

Attention: gcast.com is no longer accepting new signups, and will not be accepting new uploads as of February 1, 2010. Your existing podcasts will continue to be available.

So being as I have this website that I actually pay each month to have. I actually found out I can host my podcasts on here. So anything I will make from now on will be hosted here on my website. All past episodes are going still be hosted on GCAST.COM. I will also still try and run my live podcasting show (blogtalkradio) on a semi-annual basis.

I know I haven't really been working on the Perseus Hades projects as much as I used to. But trust me, I do still keep it going on. Even if I'm not physically doing anything with it.

Who doesn't have an iPhone?

As an owner of a iPhone 3GS (I'm not gloating I swear) it gets really frustrating when almost everyone at your workplace owns one and has that same default marimba ringtone. Even if your iPhone might be right on your hand, when you hear that ringtone, you can't help but believe it may be someone calling your phone.

Well, let me get straight to the point, I've been working on this song of mine while I just had a random epiphany that I should turn it into a ringtone (and yes, it's still going to be a regular song). The song is still in the making, but somehow I managed to cut it down to less than 30 seconds and contain various voice samplings with "you have a phone call", "ring ring ring", and "why aren't you answering your phone?" with a techno beat!

It's called NiGhtz, the title is subject to change because I'm hugely not a fan of typing things with a random capital letter and a "z" at the end to replace an "s". I'd explain why I wrote it like that, but I don't feel up to it.

So you can download the ringtone by right-clicking right here.

To have it as your iPhone ringtone, just add it to your iTunes library and then sync it to your iPhone.
